Fr. Alessio (EUM Jesuits): “Total availability, loyalty and obedience”

We welcome with joy and deep gratitude the election of the new Successor of Peter and renew our commitment to him of total availability, fidelity, prayer and obedience in mission, as indicated in the Formula of our Institute in a spirit of service. As already expressed in the discernment of the College of Cardinals and in the hearts of so many people, may he truly be “a builder of bridges and a shepherd, a teacher of humanity and the face of a Samaritan Church, in times of war a sign of mercy, synodality and hope”.

Grateful for the prophetic witness of Francis, we now support Pope Leo XIV in his service for a truly universal Church, on the move, a pilgrim of hope, listening, discerning, and sent to bring Jesus and his Gospel to every person”.
