MAGIS-Xavier Network: Emergency Appeal for Venezuela

The MAGIS Foundation, as part of the Xavier Network (XN), the international Jesuit network for development cooperation, has launched an emergency fundraising campaign to support the people of Venezuela.
Venezuela has been struck by two devastating earthquakes, measuring 7.1 and 7.5 in magnitude, causing widespread loss of life and destruction. Homes, schools, healthcare facilities and essential infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed. As rescue operations continue and the full extent of the damage is being assessed, thousands of people are in urgent need of assistance. Alongside essential relief supplies, survivors also need psychological and pastoral support to cope with the trauma and uncertainty of lives transformed in a matter of moments by this disaster.

The local partners of MAGIS are already on the ground providing emergency assistance, including safe shelter, access to clean drinking water, food, healthcare and psychosocial support.
