The theology of the Mediterranean and the way of beauty: the Jesuit challenge from Posillipo
A major refurbishment of Villa San Luigi, the Jesuit complex in Posillipo, Naples has taken place. Work began in August 2016 and was completed in October 2021. This complex covers 20,000 square metres and 80 workers were engaged in this refurbishment . This restructuring was made to service the challenges taken up by the Society.
A 20-minute video demonstrates the results of the transformation of the rooms and gives an account of the realities present:
- the Theological Faculty, with the recent introduction of the Art and Theology course as well.
- the inter-regional seminary in Campania with 100 young people from 11 dioceses in southern Italy
- the community, with 25 Jesuits
- the infirmary
- the parish of San Luigi
- the Cardoner, a space for guided Spiritual Exercises
